Umar Riaz, who was recently evicted from Bigg Boss 15, has stated that his brother Asim and late actor Sidharth Shukla, who were nemesis on Bigg Boss 13, actually wanted to connect and bond again in real life. While Asim and Sidharth, who were once really close friends on the show, couldn’t stop fighting there, they actually wanted to bond, is what Umar reportedly felt. Moreso, he revealed that Asim was inconsolable after knowing about Sidharth’s sudden demise on September 2, 2021.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Umar stated that Asim sounded very low on hearing the news. “He was very low, about to cry. He actually cried a lot,” the ex-Bigg Boss 15 contestant said, adding that it was a ‘devastating news’ for him and Asim. He recalled how Asim rushed to the hospital on hearing the news to be with Sidharth’s family and show his affection. A photo of Asim from the hospital had gone viral and like Umar mentioned, he was one of the first few people to be with Sidharth’s family on the fateful day.
Umar was in news a few days back because of his tweet where he shared a clip of Sidharth pushing Asim away. Similarly, Umar was evicted from Bigg Boss 15 for pushing Pratik Sehajpal. The tweet, obviously, went viral since fan clubs were divided and arguing on why would Umar post such a tweet. Many tagged his tweet ‘against Sidharth’ as ‘karma’, which left Umar confused since ‘he did not ask makers to evict Sidharth’.
Back in February 2020, Sidharth was declared the winner of Bigg Boss 13. His then arch-rival Asim Riaz became the runner-up of the show. Ever since the show started airing in 2019, Asim and Sidharth had their own fan clubs who were actively supporting their favourite contestant.
In fact, Sidharth had been a favourite on Bigg Boss. He had visited the sets of Bigg Boss OTT, just a few days before his demise. Unfortunately, Umar could also not meet Sidharth again on Bigg Boss 15. He had a brief interaction with the actor back in 2019 when he visited his brother Asim in the house.
