Fans of Mammootty and Mohanlal were excited after reports on social media suggested that the two superstars of Malayalam cinema would be collaborating on a project soon. Mahesh Narayanan's next project which is supported by the Anto Joseph project Company, is expected to feature a young star as well.

The most recent sources state that Asif Ali will have a major part in the film. He will be playing the part that was formerly given to Fahadh Faasil. Schedule conflicts forced the Aavesham star to withdraw from the movie. It has been reported that Mammootty and Suresh Gopi were initially involved in this project. Since then, Mohanlal has assumed the role of the BJP MP and Malayalam action star, for reasons that are unclear. In the interim, it is plausible to assume that Suresh Gopi's political commitments are what drove this decision.

Mahesh Narayanan-Mammootty film, a political thriller

Sources claim Kunchacko Boban will play important roles in the production, which is billed as a political thriller. Additionally, it has been suggested that the untitled film will utilise de-aging technology. According to reports, the director took a decision to film the flashback scenes in the movie that feature the lead actor and the character portrayed by Mohanlal. All of these reports have not been formally verified yet, though. The project's filming will be finished in many schedules over the course of about six months.

If all goes according to plan, the Mammootty starrer could begin filming by the end of 2024. Following the wrap up of filming the Jithin K Jose directorial, the Bramayugam star is anticipated to join this highly anticipated project. Rumours indicate that Mammootty and two other production companies will collaborate on the movie, despite the lack of information regarding the production banner of the movie as of yet.
