‘Vinayakan is a disciplined and hardworking actor’
Kasargold according to Asif, is a fast-paced film that has all the essential elements of a commercial movie. It’s an intense film that requires a theatrical experience for its action sequences and thrills. “We shot the fight sequences of the movie at a stretch for 12 days,” Asif told the New Indian Express.
Asif described Vinayakan as a disciplined and hardworking actor, who follows a unique regime that sets him apart from common people. According to Asif, Kasargold will showcase a different side of Vinayakan, who was recently lauded for his performance in Rajinikanth’s Jailer . When asked about his selection of films lately, Asif admitted that he has avoided youth-oriented films, like Honey Bee.
Kasargold is similar to BTech Kohinoor and Kili Poyi?
Billed as a crime drama, Kasargold marks Asif’s second outing with Mridul Nair after BTech which was a commercial entertainer set in the backdrop of a campus. The film was packed with action and humour, and became a commercial hit. With another Mridul-Asif film in the offing, fans are expecting an entertainer like BTech.
The trailer of the film has the vibes of Asif’s previous films like Kohinoor and Kili Poyi. Kasargold is bankrolled by Yoodlee Films, who backed films like Vikram Vedha and Mandela. Kasargold also marks the third venture of the production house in Malayalam cinema, after Kaapa and Padavettu. Kasargold will hit the cinemas on September 15, along with Dhyan Sreenivasan’s comedy entertainer Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna.
