Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu are collaborating for the new project tentatively titled Production 15, which is directed by debutant Nahas Nazar
Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s upcoming film Production 15 has begun rolling. As announced earlier, the upcoming project is helmed by Nahas Nazar in his directorial debut. The team has now announced that the film has officially kickstarted its shoot. Producer Ashiq Usman took to his social media handles to share the update, with a picture of the crew, and captioned it “Rolling from today”.
Although the makers have not revealed the film's title yet, the project will be 15th film financed under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. According to sources, Soubin Shahir was first roped in to play one of the leads, however, the actor opted out from the film due to unknown reasons.
Director Nahas Nazar, who previously worked as an assistant director in films such as Unda, Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha, and Thallumaala, is making his directorial debut with this upcoming project. Apart from the lead cast, the film also features Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathi, Althaf Salim and Bheeshma Parvam-fame Anagha in pivotal roles. The screenplay for the film is written by Thankam, who debuted as a writer with the Asif Ali-starrer Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha. Jimshi Khalid is cranking the camera, while Nishadh Yusuf is the editor of the untitled project. The film’s music will be scored by composer Gopi Sundar.
Meanwhile, Asif Ali's upcoming investigative thriller alongside Biju Menon, titled Thalavan, is all set for its theatrical release on February 16. The film is directed by Jis Joy and is touted to be a thriller, centred around two cops (played by Asif and Biju Menon).
Asif Ali, who was last seen in A Ranjith Cinema, also has Kishkintha Kaandam, Tiki Taka, and Abhyanthara Kuttavaali in the pipeline. On the other hand, Suraj Venjaramoodu is awaiting the release of Ezra-fame Jay K’s Grrrr, which also features Kunchacko Boban in the lead role.
