Ashok Galla, veteran star Krishna’s grandson and son of politician Jaydev Galla, entrepreneur Padmavathi Galla, forayed into films with Hero in 2022, which earned good reviews from critics and performed decently at the box office. The film, directed by Sriram Adittya, also starring Nidhhi Agerwal was an out and out action comedy with smart humour and energetic performances from the actors.
In his second outing, Ashok will be seen in a massy avatar. Directed by Arjun Jandyala, the maker behind Kartikeya Gummakonda’s Guna 369, the film is written by noted filmmaker Prasanth Varma (whose HanuMan is gearing up for a summer release). AshokGalla2’s action-packed first glimpse was unveiled today commemorating the lead actor’s birthday.
“Continuing onwards and looking forward to all your love and support as always. Here's the First Action of my next #AshokGalla2 :),” the one-film old actor shared today. As Ashok steps afoot, soil dust rises midair and he floors a bulky man in the middle of a field in the backdrop of a Lord Krishna idol. He displays his muscular strength, machismo and receives a roaring applause from crowds.
Displaying his sense of pride, he twirls his moustache in the end of the video. Somineni Balakrishna, an NRI and former film distributor is turning a producer with the project, to be bankrolled under Sri Lalithambika Productions. K Sagar is the co-producer and Nallapaneni Yamini is the presenter. The shoot of the film formally commenced a few weeks ago.
The director of the film, Arjun Jandyala, is the former associate of Boyapati Srinu and had assisted him on films like Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Sarrainodu and Legend. Bheems Ceciroleo, who scored hits like Dhamaka and Balagam recently, is the composer. Prasad Murella cranks the camera while Tammiraju and Burra Sai Madhav are the editor and dialogue writer respectively.
