The family entertainer directed by Vidya Sagar Chinta and written by Ravi Kiran Kola will first hit theatres on May 6
After the romantic drama Paagal, Vishwak Sen is back in a light-hearted terrain with his upcoming family entertainer, Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam. Rukshar Dhillon plays the female lead in the film that marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Vidya Sagar Chinta. Ravi Kiran Kola, who directed the feel-good rural romance Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, is the writer. Sudheer Edara and Bapineedu B have bankrolled the film under SVCC Digital. Noted producer BVSN Prasad is the presenter.
Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam will first theatres on May 6 across the globe. The film's post-theatrical rights have been snapped up by Telugu OTT platform aha. It is slated to premiere on the streaming platform three weeks after its OTT release on May 27. The makers have been quite practical about its theatrical run, given the biggies that are slated to release later in the month, including Sarkaru Vaari Paata and F3.
Jay Krish has scored the music for the film while Pavi K Pavan is the cinematographer. Edited by Viplav Nyshadam, the technical crew also includes production designer Pravalya Duddupudi, sound designer Vamsipriya Rasineni. The story revolves around Arjun Kumar Allam, a 34-year-old bachelor, who is constantly pestered by near and dear around him to get unmarried. Does he have a happy ending in store? How does he moves past the tricky phase in life?
The lead actor of Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam, Vishwak Sen, recently wrapped up an extensive promotional tour across Andhra Pradesh, where crowds thronged in great numbers to catch his glimpse. The shoot of the rural comedy commenced in the later half of 2021 and was wrapped earlier this year. The director Vidya Sagar Chinta had earlier worked with Vishwak Sen as a cinematographer for Falaknuma Das and the actor's debut project Vellipomakey as well.
