As Jailer nears Rs 600 crore at box office, BMW for Rajinikanth and Porsches for Anirudh, Nelson

In order to mark this remarkable achievement of Jailer, Kalanithi Maran has been pampering Rajinikanth, Anirudh and Nelson with expensive gifts.

Jailer is a big blockbuster.

Producer Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures is showing a lot of generosity in sharing the profits of the latest blockbuster Jailer with the movie's cast and crew . Starring Superstar Rajinikanth, the movie has become one of the biggest earners in the history of Tamil cinema, second only to the global collection of 2.0.

In order to mark this remarkable achievement of Jailer, Kalanithi Maran has been pampering the movie's cast and crew with expensive gifts and bonuses. The latest recepeint of Maran's genoricty is composer Anirudh.

In addition to giving him a bonus, over and above his original salary, Maran also presented a brand new Porsche to Anirudh. "To celebrate the humongous Blockbuster #Jailer, Mr. Kalanithi Maran presented the key of a brand new Porsche car to @anirudhofficial," Sun Pictures wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the video, Anirudh was given an offer to pick a car from three options. And Anirudh seemed to have picked a dark blue Porsche.

Anirudh's role in the success of Jailer

Nobody can deny the fact that Anirudh played a vital role in making Jailer such a big hit. It's his pulsating background score that elevated each scene to another level and created a frenzy among fans in cinema halls worldwide. The dance number Kaavaalaa and the Rajinikanth fan athem Hukum were blockbuster hits adding to the movie's allure.

Earlier, Kalanithi Maran gave a substantial share in profits to Rajinikanth. According to reports, the profits share that went to Rajinikanth was pegged at Rs 100 crore. Besides the bonus cheque, Rajinikanth also received a brand-new BMW X7.

Nelson also received a bonus along with a Porsche car.

Jailer set for OTT release

Jailer has so far earned about Rs 580 crore from its worldwide ticket sales. However, it's unlikely to cross the Rs 600 crore mark as it's set for its digital release this week .

Jailer will make its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video on September 7. And it will affect its box office earnings.
