Arya’s next project with Shakti Soundar Rajan, an action thriller, has been titled Captain

A month ago, the project which brings Arya and Shakti Soundar Rajan for the second time, was launched with a few crew members attending it. Teddy which had a direct premiere on Disney+ Hotstar earlier this year, was the duo's first collaboration. Their new movie has now been titled Captain.

Both of them took to their social media accounts to express the excitement of joining hands with each other again. Arya tweeted, "Once again teaming up with My Favourite Person, Director nd brother @ShaktiRajan for #Captain." Shakti, on the other hand, posted, "Excited to share the title of my next with my bro @arya_offl! #CAPTAIN! More brotherhood for our 2nd consecutive collaboration!"

Though the makers are tight-lipped about the film's story, they had earlier revealed that Captain will feature Aishwarya Lakshmi in the female lead. Simran, Thyagarajan, Kavya Shetty, Harish Uthaman, Gokul and Bharath Raj among others will be seen playing key roles in it.

The first schedule of the movie is expected to be wrapped up soon, after which the crew will head to North Indian states, where the remaining portions will be shot. D Imman, who is a regular in Shakti's projects, has been roped in to compose music, while Yuva is cranking the camera.

Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for songs and Pradeep E Raghav has come on board as the editor. Captain has R Sakti Saravanan as its action choreographer, while SS Moorthy and V Arun Raj are handling art direction and VFX respectively.

Tipped as an action thriller, the team has unveiled an abrupt title poster as well. Going by the posters, the film is expected to release in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
