Directed by Jigarthanda fame Shivaganesh, the film has Aryann sporting two looks, in keeping with the narrative.
Bengaluru boy Aryann Santhosh has been looking forward to changing his onscreen image with his next release, Dear Sathya, directed by Shivaganesh. An action thriller, with elements of romance, which has been strung together with inspiration from a few real-life incidents, the film has been ready for a year and Aryann has been waiting for the right opportunity to bring it to theatres.
“I have been waiting for a year and am now ready to present the film to audiences. We are releasing the film on March 10, which gives us a week before the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s James on March 17. We have been asked why release in March, as it is exam season for colleges, but if we don’t bring the film to theatres now, we will have to wait till at least May or June to get a clear window and that is too much. Also, this is a film for B & C centres, where an exam season may not affect our business,” says Aryann, adding that the satellite and digital rights of the film have been sold.
The actor adds that Dear Sathya is his first attempt at the action genre, for which he’s had to have a complete makeover in his physical appearance and onscreen characterisation. The second half of the film is absolutely action packed. We have five mass action scenes, which have been shot in different backdrops and with moves that do not look larger-than-life,” says Aryann.
Produced by Purple Rock Entertainers & Winterbridge Studios, Dear Sathya pairs Aryann with Archana Kottige. The film, which has music by Sridhar Sambhram, also stars Aruna Balaraj, Ashwin Rao, Arvind Rao, Appanna, Gururaj and Adarsh Chandrakar, among others.
