Shah Rukh Khan’s son was cleared by the Narcotics Control Bureau of any wrongdoing recently
Soon after being cleared by the Narcotics Control Bureau, which had taken him into custody after a drug bust on a luxury cruise ship, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is gearing up to head to the US to begin extensive work on his upcoming web series, which is reportedly produced by Amazon Prime Video.
Aryan, who will be making his debut as a scriptwriter through the project, had apparently been working on before the drug bust and resumed writing the show after he was granted bail in the case. According to a report in the Times of India, the aspiring director and scriptwriter will no leave for the US, where he will be “mentored by senior scriptwriters and filmmakers from the industry”.
Earlier reports had suggested that the web series was one of the two projects Aryan was associated with. He was also part of a feature film that was in development. It now seems that the 24-year-old, who is waiting to get his passport back, will prioritise the OTT show over the feature film. Aryan had also done a test shoot for the web series with several young talents from the industry.
A report from Pinkvilla had earlier stated that the upcoming web series, which will be backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, will be a thriller revolving around the life of a die-hard fan.
Meanwhile, Aryan was recently spotted at the set of his sister Suhana Khan’s debut film The Archies, which is currently being shot in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. The movie, helmed by Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar, also has Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoo, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. The movie, which has Suhana playing the character inspired by Archies comics’ Veronica, is set to release on Netflix in 2023.
