Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is gearing up for his directorial debut with the upcoming web series, Stardom. Filming began in July and is nearing completion. The series, produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, is said to offer a fictional perspective on the Hindi film industry. Actor Lakshya Lalwani will play the lead role. Ahead of the project’s release date announcement, Aryan has expressed his views on how he feels as a filmmaker.
In an interview with fashion news outlet GQ India, Aryan expressed how he felt directing a series for the first time. Briefly summing up his experience in a sentence, Aryan said, “As a director, I have to look into every detail, every shot, and every angle.”
Professionally, Aryan is not just a budding filmmaker but also an entrepreneur who runs the lifestyle brand D'YAVOL. The brand promotions, as one might expect, feature his father, Shah Rukh Khan.
Talking about how he maintains a balance in life, especially on being an entrepreneur and filmmaker at the same time, Aryan Khan told the news portal in a precise manner that he prefers to keep himself busy. “I like to keep busy,” said 26-year-old Aryan, who graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.
If reports are to be believed, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Bobby Deol are likely to make cameo appearances in the series.
During the David Letterman Show in 2019, Shah Rukh Khan discussed his son Aryan's future plans and parenting approach towards relationships. Aryan, who was enrolled in a film production program in the US, had no desire to follow in his father's acting footsteps. Shah Rukh Khan praised Aryan's writing abilities but acknowledged that his son lacked the characteristics required for acting.
