Arvind Swami, the popular actor, is celebrating his 54th birthday today. The 90s heartthrob of Tamil cinema recently wrapped up Meiyazhagan the upcoming movie that stars Karthi in the lead role. The Bombay actor is playing a pivotal role in the film directed by Prem Kumar, the 96-fame director. Suriya is producing the film under his home banner, 2D Entertainment. The actor brothers wished Arvind Swami on his birthday by revealing a special feature, Meiyazhagan, on social media.

As Arvind Swami turned 54 today, his Meiyazhagan co-star Karthi took to his social media handles and wished him by sharing a new poster of the actor from the Prem Kumar directorial. Suriya, who is producing the highly anticipated project, shared the posters on his official handles, along with a lovely note. “Dearest @thearvindswami thank you for making #Meiyazhagan so special! Delighted to see your bond with @Karthi_Offl and team. Wishing you everlasting happiness!” wrote the Soorarai Pottru actor in his post.

The Meiyazhagan team, on the other hand, wished the actor with a special message. Happiest birthday dear @thearvindswami sir - a beacon of humility and dedication. Your exceptional talent continues to leave an indelible mark on the screens and in our hearts. May your day be filled with joy and your year with triumphs! Wishes from team #Meiyazhagan,” reads the X (formerly Twitter) post of the production banner 2D Entertainment. In the new poster that reminds us of an old Tamil newspaper, Arvind Swami’s character is seen standing near a local train compartment door.

All about Meiyazhagan

Karthi is reportedly playing the titular character in Meiyazhagan which is touted to be a romantic comedy. Arvind Swamy appears in a pivotal role in the film, which stars Sri Divya as the female lead. Raj Kiran, Devadarshini, Sriranjini, Jayaprakash, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Saran Shakthi, Rajkumar, and others play the supporting roles. Govind Vasantha is composing the songs and original score. Mahendiran Jayaraju is the director of photography. R Govindraj handles the editing. The project is bankrolled by Jyotika and Suriya under their home banner, 2D Entertainment.
