SonyLIV had announced earlier that the Tamil web series, titled Tamil Stalkers which is produced by the leading production house AVM Productions, will be based on the infamous film piracy site. Directed by Arivazhagan, the crime thriller, which stars Arun Vijay in the lead, went on floors in Chennai a while ago. The team had kept the details regarding its cast hush-hush, though we have come to know that the project will be wrapped up in October.

A source says, "The team has completed 30 per cent of its shooting. The series, which is being shot completely in Chennai, will be high on action. The project, which is made on a lavish budget, will have 10 episodes. Though there are talks regarding a second season, it depends on the reception for the first season. Most of the actors in it are relatively newcomers."

Tharun Kumar, who played the lead in Thaen has been roped in to play the antagonist in the series, which marks the OTT debut of both Arun Vijay and Arivazhagan. This is the third collaboration of the actor-director duo. They had joined hands for Kuttram 23 and Borrder earlier; the trailer of the latter was released on Sunday. Borrder was one of the projects which were supposed to hit the screens as soon as theatres were granted permission to open in Tamil Nadu. However, the makers are yet to come up with an official announcement on the movie's theatrical release. They had earlier clarified that the film will release on OTT platforms only after it has been released in movie halls.

Abhishek Bachchan was one of the few who was all praise for the film's trailer which opened to positive response on social media. Regina Cassandra and Stefy Patel play female leads in the movie which has music by Sam CS.
