Arshad Warsi reviews Ranbir Kapoor's Animal; calls it a 'masterpiece'

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal has opened to polarising reactions from critics and audiences. While some enjoyed the cinematic experience, the rest pointed out major flaws in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. Animal has been called out for toxic masculinity and misogyny. Despite that, the movie is performing exceptionally well.

Say for that matter, some celebrities have also lauded Ranbir's film. Arshad Warsi recently watched Animal and couldn't stop lauding the movie.

Arshad Warsi reviews Ranbir Kapoor's Animal

Arshad Warsi shared his review of Animal on X. The actor said Sandeep Reddy Vanga and his film is 'insanely fantastic'. Arshad felt Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor met because 'the world needed Ranbir Kapoor'. Appreciating RK, Warsi added that there is no boundary to Ranbir's talent.

He further thanked Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and team Animal for delivering a 'masterpiece'.

Animal's box office performance

Animali is enjoying its dream run at the box office. The movie has surpassed the lifetime collection of Sandeep's Kabir Singh, which featured Shahid Kapoor in the pivotal role. While Ranbir's film currently stands at ₹283.74 crore, Kabir Singh minted ₹278.24 crore at the ticket window. On a global level, the Vanga directorial has entered the ₹400 crore club.

On the work front for Arshad

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Arshad's last theatrical release was Bachchan Pandey with Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon. The film failed to work wonders at the box office. Earlier this year, he also turned into a narrator for the Netflix series, Choona. Directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra, the series featured Jimmy Shergill, Aashim Gulati, Chandan Roy, and Namit Das. It premiered on the OTT platform on September 29.

Currently, the actor is seen as a judge on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. Arshad is on JDJ 11's judges' panel with Farah Khan and Malaika Arora. The dance reality show airs every weekend at 9:30 pm on SonyTV. It also streams on SonyLIV. While he is presently busy with this show, the actor has not announced his new film or web show yet.
