Asur 2 is out on JioCinema, and fans who have been waiting since 2020 for the second season have binge-watched it. The suspense thriller brought Arshad Warsi on screen as an investigative officer, and people have lauded his performance. During a recent interaction, Arshad spoke at length about how he landed this role and the reception of the series.

The actor told Midday that the then-producer wanted him. The actor apologised for not responding sooner, but he had a very full plate. The producer insisted the actor listen, and he is relieved that he did. Arshad informed his manager that he simply could not shake the thought from his mind. The actor claimed that this occurred because of her magic. Part 2 was a foregone conclusion, as was his enthusiasm for the story and that of the nation at large.

He continues by saying the show isn't easy on the viewers. No one is made to feel like an idiot by it. Its smart story and script keep one interested. It stimulates the mind, and after seeing the show, viewers develop their own theories, which is fascinating. Evidence of the audience's active participation.

Arshad remarked that he enjoys films and OTT; he did not enjoy television much, though he tried it once. The actor is a big fan of both movies and OTT. Unfortunately, in the television industry, quantity is valued over quality. For him, that's an issue because there's no way to hurry.

In response to a question about the types of content he likes to watch as a consumer, he declared that he is a good old commercial watcher. He would like to catch up on Mission: Impossible and Pathaan.

Among his devoted fans, he is widely regarded as a hidden gem. Arshad responded to the same by saying that it's better to be underrated than overrated, but that's absolutely fine. What he has received is well above what he expected or even deserved. It would be great to collaborate with more skilled artists.

He says that when he's not working, his favourite thing to do is relax at home. He makes light of the fact that his kids don't want to hang out with him by saying that he enjoys spending time with them.
