Arshad Warsi breaks silence on his 'joker' comment: ‘Prabhas is a brilliant actor, but…’

Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi recently broke his silence on his 'joker' remark for South actor Prabhas. When Arshad made a comment on him for his film Kalki 2898 AD, he faced backlash over his 'he was like a joker' comment. Now, the actor spoke to the media about the same and also mentioned that Prabhas is a 'brilliant actor'.

Arshad Warsi clarifies his 'joker' comment for Prabhas

Recently, at the IIFA Awards 2024 green carpet on Saturday, Arshad Warsi mentioned that everyone has their own point of view and also said that Prabhas is a 'brilliant actor'. He was quoted as saying by ANI, "Everybody has their own point of view and people like to interpret noise. I spoke about the character, not the person. He (Prabhas) is a brilliant actor and he has proved himself again and again, and we know about it. And, when we give a bad character to a good actor, it's heartbreaking for the audience."

He further explained to the news agency that people like to interpret noise and that he spoke about the actor's character in the film and not the person. He said, "I spoke about the character, not the person. He (Prabhas) is a brilliant actor and he has proved himself again and again, and we know about it. And, when we give a bad character to a good actor, it's heartbreaking for the audience."

What did Arshad Warsi say about Prabhas?

For the uninitiated, about a month ago, while speaking with Samdish Bhatia, Arshad Warsi made a big comment on Prabhas while talking about his review for the film Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone. He said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand).”
