Armaan has pawned jewellery for the settlement
Armaan Kohli’s ex-girlfriend Neeru Randhawa has dropped the case she filed against him. They have agreed for a settlement of Rs. 50 lakhs. For the same, Armaan has pawned jewellery.
The five-year-case was filed by Neeru. She had accused Armaan of physically assaulting her. The case was closed on Saturday after Armaan’s lawyer Taraq Sayyad and Neeru’s advocate Kushal Mor showed documents which prove the settlement between the two.
The British resident Neeru had accused Armaan of pushing her down the stairs. She alleged that he banged her head against the floor, post which she had to undergo 15 stitches. The case dates back to the incident of June 3, 2018.
She had registered the case with Santacruz police station, after which Armaan was arrested. Back then, Armaan had offered Rs. 50 lakhs settlement as a full and final settlement but they agreed to another Rs. 50 lakhs once the proceedings were over.
Two more cheques were issued for the same but they were dishonoured. Thus, Neeru pleaded to the court to open the case again in the same year.
Five years later, Armaan pawned family jewellery for the settlement and could manage only Rs. 30 lakhs, his lawyer Taraq proved in court. Neeru agreed to take the money instead of Rs. 50 lakhs and the case was finally closed. Justices NW Sambre and RN Laddha disposed the petition.
