Arkkariyam all set for OTT release via NeeStream
The Biju Menon starrer had already received positive responses when it was released in theatres

Badhaai Ho and Vishwaroopam cinematographer Sanu John Varghese's directorial debut Aarkkariyam, which has Biju Menon and Parvathy in the lead, is set for its digital release through the Malayalam OTT platform NeeStream on May 17.
Aarkkariyam, set in the pandemic era, tells the story of Shirley (Parvathy Thiruvothu) who is settled in Mumbai along with her husband Roy (Sharafudheen). Both of them plan to return home to be with her father Ittiyavara (Biju Menon) in Kerala. Along with this, they are also stricken with family issues, like Shirley's daughter being stuck in another state and financial problems that Shirley and Roy try to solve. The movie has an easy-going, family story feel to it that gets deeper and darker as the story moves along.
Aarkkariyam was released in theatres on April 1, but due to the ongoing pandemic, could not garner as much audience as it would have otherwise. Biju Menon garnered praise for his makeover and performance as 72-year-old Ittiyavara.
The film has been produced by Santhos T Kuruvila and Aashiq Abu under the banner of Moonshot Entertainments and OPM Dream Mill Cinemas. Arkkariyam is written by Sanu John Varghese along with Rajesh Ravi and Arun Janardhanan.
Aarkkariyam will make its digital premiere on NeeStream on May 17.
