Arjuna Phalguna teaser: Sree Vishnu ups the ante in an intense avatar for a no holds barred action potboiler

The film, also starring Amritha Aiyer in the lead, is written and directed by Teja Marni

After his debut with a sedate, largely melancholic political drama Johaar, filmmaker Teja Marni has now switched gears for a full-on commercial film Arjuna Phalguna, starring Sree Vishnu in the lead role. Amritha Aiyer is cast as the leading lady in the actioner produced by Anvesh Reddy and Niranjan Reddy under Matinee Entertainment. The team has generated enough curiosity about the film with the posters over the last few days, in the lead up to its teaser launch today. Expectedly, Arjuna Phalguna's teaser doesn't disappoint movie lovers and it looks to be another solid outing for an in-form Sree Vishnu.

"Trying to reinvent myself with every film I take up..I have reinvented myself again for this..This time in an unabashedly mass avatar," Sree Vishnu tweeted as he shared the film's teaser. The teaser takes off with the lead character delivering intense lines like, "Naadhi Kaani Kurukshetram Lo..Naadhi Kaani Padmavyuham Lo Irukkupoyaanu..Ainaa Balaipovadaniki Nenu Abhimanyunni Kaadu..Arjunudini.." The action then shifts to Arjun, his love interest and a group of friends being stuck in a tricky situation with a cat-and-mouse chase revolving around cops, ruffians.

Subba Raju essays the role of a cop in the film, while Rangasthalam Mahesh, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Chaitanya Garikipati play the on-screen buddies of the lead character Arjun. The slick teaser where the characters are consistently on the move is gripping, loaded with intense action, drama, romance with catchy visuals by Jagadeesh Cheekati. Arjuna Phalguna appears to be a plot-driven film with a racy screenplay and should make for an ideal watch at the theatres, at least going by the teaser.

Teja Marni has also written the story and screenplay for the film while Sudheer Varma P has penned the dialogues. Devi Prasad, Sivaji Raja, veteran actor Naresh essay crucial roles in this action saga. Priyadarshan Balasubramanian has scored the music for the film, with Chaitanya Prasad roped in as the lyricist for the entire album. Action choregrapher Ram Sunkara and art director Gandhi Nadikudikar is also associated with the project. The release date is yet to be announced.
