The actor, who is also producer Boney Kapoor's son, will soon be seen in Ek Villain Returns.
Arjun Kapoor is one of the Bollywood actors who had a fairly good beginning to his career but also saw downfall almost immediately. It was only after Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar that the audiences started to give him an opportunity again. That is exactly what Arjun spoke about in his recent interview – about how he was written off before Dibakar Banerjee’s film happened to him.
Arjun spoke to Bollywood Hungama about Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’s success. He said, “I feel grateful to have a shot at the arm at a time when I was being written off by many people and fairly so.” The actor explained that it was when his films weren’t doing well at the Box Office.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar helped him receive the appreciation as an actor. Arjun says that because of his unique choice, he got the ‘push in the right direction.’
Almost immediately, the actor explained about the time when he worked on Half Girlfriend and Mubarakan and his audiences did not buy tickets for the first day show.
Arjun also believes that his last release Bhoot Police got appreciated because of the appreciation Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar received. The actor will next be seen in Ek Villain Returns. He also promises that he has worked hard on the film and lost a lot of weight for the role.
At the same time, Arjun also promised to share an after-and-before photo of himself on Instagram for his audiences to see that he has indeed worked hard on himself. The actor will be seen alongside John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in the Mohit Suri directorial.
Meanwhile, Ek Villain, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles, also completed eight years since its release on July 27. The film was a surprise hit and gave Sidharth Malhotra’s career the boost he was looking for.
