Arjun, Harbhajan Singh starrer Friendship to release in September

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, action star Arjun, Bigg Boss fame Losliya, comedian Sathish are coming together for a film titled Friendship. The film, directed by Johan Paul Raj and Sham Surya, will release in all South Indian languages and Hindi in September. AN Balaji of Sri Lakshmi Jyothi Creations has bagged the distribution rights to release the Telugu version for a fancy price. Friendship is expected to have a massive release across the country.

"Telugu audiences have been turning up in impressive numbers across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The collections for our earlier film Orey Bammardhi (starring Siddharth, GV Prakash Kumar) are proof of the same. Most of the Telugu films that have made it to theatres recently have performed exceedingly well. We're confident that Friendship will sustain our winning momentum. The film was made on a huge budget nearing Rs 25 crore and audiences can be assured of a fulfilling big-screen experience," A N Balaji added.

Friendship is a remake of a Malayalam film titled Queen that mostly starred newcomers and still impressed audiences. The film revolves around the lives of a group of college students and their tryst with modern-day politics. Packed with several commercial elements and catchy music, Friendship promises to be a riveting, paisa-vasool entertainer. The film is expected to wrap up censor formalities shortly. The makers will announce the release date after the CBFC certification.
