Arjun Das, known for his irresistibly haunting bass voice in his films, has gradually rose to prominence with his consistent performances in Tamil cinema. If Kaithi paved the way for him in the industry, he made the most of opportunities like Master and Andhagaaram, which ensured him acclaim from several corners. After a brief appearance in Vikram, he forayed into Telugu cinema with Butta Bomma and is now a part of Pawan Kalyan’s OG too.

OG, directed by Sujeeth, also stars Priyanka Mohan in the lead and is bankrolled by DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainment, the banner behind RRR. Arjun Das has just begun shooting for his segments in the third schedule of OG in Hyderabad. The news of his presence in the film was officially confirmed by the team yesterday. In a personalised note, he has shared why this opportunity is so special for him.

“I don’t know where to start... I landed in Hyderabad early last morning and visited the OG set to meet with the team. Was extremely nervous and excited, but meeting Pawan Kalyan Garu in person was surreal. A picture from the set went out yesterday, and ever since, the only question I was being asked was “OG lo unnara?” I didn’t know what to say, as the official announcement wasn’t out,” the actor wrote.

He thanked Sujeeth for believing in him and the producer Danayya for the opportunity and had a special word of praise for Pawan Kalyan. “Will forever cherish what you told me yesterday. Truly looking forward to working and sharing the screen with you,” he wrote about the Ustaad Bhagat Singh star. He also conveyed his gratitude to the star’s fans ‘for being so loving, welcoming and supportive’ and promised to give his best for the film.

S Thaman scores the music for OG while Ravi K Chandran cranks the camera. AS Prakash is the art director. The film is believed to be a gangster saga and Pawan Kalyan has only allocated 25 days for the film’s shoot, as per reports.
