Arijit Singh beats Taylor Swift on Spotify’s ‘most followed’ artist list

Taylor Swift, the popular pop singer, is a big name in the music of the West. She has bagged 12 Grammy awards so far and is crowned with several other glorious achievements. Recently, a Belgian university introduced a literature course on the singer. She is one of the richest singers in the world as well as her recent tour broke several records. However, Bengali singer Arijit Singh surpassed Taylor Swift.

Spotify is a popular platform for listening to songs. The listeners and fans can follow their favorite singers on that platform. Arijit Singh beat Taylor Swift regarding the number of followers. He surpassed the popular new-generation singer Billie Eilish as well. Arijit's fans number more than 86 million on Spotify, whereas the number is 79 million for Taylor Swift. British pop star Ed Sheeran tops the chart with a fan-following of 113 million. Ariana Grande is in the second position with 91 million fans. Arijit Singh is in the third position.

Arijit was born in Murshidabad and grew up in Jiaganj. He is one of the most popular singers in Bollywood right now. He started his journey with a reality show as a participant. Though he could not win the reality show, he did not give up. He tried hard and went to the top and has been ruling the playback world ever since.

Even after achieving success in Mumbai, Arijit Singh got back to his homeland and is settles there. He has started a number of social works in his village. Arijit loves a simple life with his family.
