Story:

BTS member Jungkook is on his US tour for Seven. That is when his fellow member Jimin wants to surprise him. Thus, Jimin flies out to The US for the golden maknae. They end up making memories while travelling across the shores in the States.

Review:

As you dive into Jimin and Jungkook's travel documentary, you realize the vibe is all about having fun. This is not only owing to them having fun times but also with the background music, and the editing which will remind you of Run BTS editors. The same is expected but not really the theme when it comes to travel documentaries.

The journey began back on July 14, 2023, with a sleepyhead Jimin. We are taken to a flashback to a night before in America where Jungkook demands to be babied after having a throat ache and Jimin being Jimin, he happily (and cutely agressively) takes care of his bro. This is before Jungkook's Seven concert.

The documentary begins on a slow note but not to the extent that ARMY could be disappointed. Just then, Jungkook shows his adorable side by talking about how he couldn't go live and meet ARMY because of his hectic schedule.

After Smeraldo Garden Marching Band from his recent album Muse, Jimin does the popular sign once again, and the moment is fun and warm.

The first episode is about Jimin and Jungkook deciding on the title and even if their suggestions are basic, they're still hilarious. And Shin Chan gets mentioned too! PS: There's JK's Party Party Yeah deja vu.

Jimin's expressions when he tried to experiment prove why the show is named Are You Sure?! Both Jimin and Jungkook, still learning English, are the cutest when talking in the very language, just as much, if not more than how they talk in Korea.

The kayaking takes place in the first episode itself, and it is a moment. It is the first time we see Jimin laugh at Jungkook, which is going to be a lot in the series.

Every episode with BTS members turn into Run BTS, so expect competitions here too. There's In The Soop deja vu as well, but unfortunately it is just two members, at least so far.

As expected, V and Suga make a cameo appearance in the show. This is in the first episode itself.

Jimin gives a death scare in the first episode, while Jungkook being himself, does all he can for his fellow member. Thus, the episode which began on a slow note, ended on a mild note.

Day 2 is about Jungkook riding the bike and JK-Jimin hiking. The two end up making a Harry Potter reference as well.

They take a yatch in Marina. And the discussion for the title continues in this episode too. With Jimin's Muse song Who almost beating Jungkook at the charts, the two discuss competition between their album Golden and Face's songs even back. The same was their last offering to fans before entering the military. They share their music, including Jimin's Who. Even before the success, Jungkook predicted Who success.

Jimin being himself, he falls off, although not from a chair this time. And the two episodes end with Jungkook's monologue, almost like an actor, and Jimin mimicking him.

Verdict:

A dance challenge, near-death experience and the boys being themselves, Are You Sure?! is a trip you should definitely take, not for the travel but to experience what the maknae line from BTS are like together. So, the documentary is for ARMY who love seeing the members be their true, goofy selves, and not for those who came expecting a travel documentary, because even though there is travel, the focus is on a lot more. Food also plays a huge role, but so do Sports and more than anything, it is the beloved BTS members.
