Noted Telugu OTT platform aha, after the immense popularity of their reality show Telugu Indian Idol 2, is coming up with a new web series titled Ardhamayyindha Arun Kumar. Jonathan Edwards, the director behind the film - Amaram Akhilam Prema - and the web show The Baker and The Beauty, helms the series. Harshith Reddy, Ananya Sharma, Tejaswi Madivada play the lead roles.
Ardhamayyindha Arun Kumar is gearing up for an OTT premiere later this month on June 30. After unveiling a character introduction promo for the lead character Arun Kumar, the streamer unveiled the teaser on Friday. The glimpse takes audiences through a small town-boy who comes to the city with huge ambitions and ends up working as an intern in a corporate firm.
Arun Kumar, who leads a comfortable life in Amalapuram, always dreams of a better, happy future in a city and fights with his parents for the same. However, when he lands in Hyderabad and joins the corporate sector as an intern, his dreams come to a grinding halt when he’s asked to do odd jobs by his superior. He’s ridiculed and ill-treated by everyone around him.
Some even mistake Arun to be an office boy. He loses motivation many a time while he chases his dreams. Ananya Sharma, Tejaswi play corporate employees in this saga in which Harshith Reddy fits the bill as a small-town boy to perfection. The latter has played similar roles in web projects like Mail and Taragathi Gadhi Daati on aha before and has been hailed as a promising talent by many.
Produced by Aree Studio and Laughing Cow Productions, Arthamayyinda Arun Kumar promises impressive performances from the leads and an entertaining narrative that’ll keep audiences glued to their seats. aha also released two films on the platform this weekend - Addateegala and MenToo. Some of their recent releases were Newsense, Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu.
