AR Rahman is pleased with Selvaraghavan's appreciation of Nenjame Nenjame song from Maamannan

The first single to have been unveiled from Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan was Raasa Kannu which was crooned by Vadivelu, who also plays the titular role in the film. It was followed by Jigu Jigu Rail, the lyric video of which had none other than AR Rahman, the movie's composer, shaking legs for the first time.
However, one song from the project that was instantly lapped up by music buffs among the seven tracks was Nenjame Nenjame, for which Shakthisree Gopalan and Vijay Yesudas lent voices. The slow-paced alluring melody helps us take a trip down memory lane.
Among the many who fell in love with the song is Selvaraghavan, who has taken to his Twitter page to express his admiration for the magic in it. His tweet in Tamil says that it's been a while since such a song has been released in Tamil and that he is getting goosebumps listening to it.
He tagged AR Rahman in the post and appreciated lyricist Yugabharathi, too. In his reply, Rahman thanked him and said that the film's story and setting coupled with the Maamannan team's intention inspired him to come up with such a composition. He ended the tweet with Ella Pugazhum Iraivanukke (All praise to God).
This isn't the first time Selva has gone gaga over Rahman's composition. Last year, the filmmaker said that the latter's composition for Ponniyin Selvan 1 was the best in his career. Ahead of Ponniyin Selvan 2's release this year, Selva said that Alai Kadal from PS 1 is his favourite song and that it is one song that he will cherish all his life.
Fans of the duo have been eagerly expressing their wish for them to join hands for a project, and they are keeping their fingers crossed.
