Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been adjudged the Best Feature Film at the 69th National Film Awards which was announced recently. The film, which was released a year ago, marked the actor's directorial debut. He has been winning accolades from several quarters ever since the award announcement was made.

Interestingly, AR Rahman went a little overboard and praised him to the skies. The musician congratulated the actor-director and recollected the impact he had while watching the film at Cannes last year. He also confessed that the movie outsmarts Oppenheimer.

This left fans of the duo and other movie buffs enthralled. Madhavan, who least expected such a huge compliment from Rahman, expressed astonishment at the tweet. He said that he was speechless after reading the post and that the appreciation has motivated him way beyond what he thought he was capable of.

Quite humbled and touched by Rahman's tweet, Madhavan added that team Rocketry is excited to hear such great words from him. The overwhelmed actor also mentioned that the musician has been his greatest inspiration.

Rahman was the composer for Madhavan's Alaipayuthey which made him a dependable hero more than two decades ago. The duo further collaborated on projects like Kannathil Muthamittal, Ayutha Ezhuthu and Rang De Basanti.
