Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman, is seen in a new suit in the first look of the sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,
Actor Jason Momoa was seen in the sets of Aquaman sequel, titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom of Atlantis donning a new suit rather than the black one featured in the previous films. This suit is inspired by the comics resembling the scales and fins of a fish. The suit is gold in colour with scales and fins resembling that of fish and the actor is seen holding the Trident in the signature “protecting” pose of Aquaman.

James Wan, known for The Conjuring franchise, returns to helm the project. He also commented on the suit on his Instagram handle. The director said that the suit is modelled on Atlantean technology with camouflage techniques embedded. The suit is inspired by the defense mechanisms of squids and octopuses. He also said that he has incorporated several horror elements in the sequel as opposed to Aquaman, which was a pure visual entertainer.
Aquaman told the story of Arthur Curry, the son of underwater queen Atlanna and human Thomas Curry. The movie narrated how Arthur with the help of Mera, played by Amber Heard, frees his mother from his half-brother’s prison.
Aquaman was a marginal character, often sidelined by more powerful Superman and Wonder Woman, even in comics. But it all changed with Jason Momoa making his debut as a superhero into the DC universe. Just like Robert Downey Jr. gave Ironman a face, or Christian Bale becoming Nolan's Batman, Jason Momoa also took Aquaman to heights with his signature style of acting.
The sequel is set to be released in theatres on December 16, 2022.
