Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Mr. Corman which aired its last episode of the first season has been cancelled by Apple TV+. The series was dropped on the streaming platform in August this year and the final episode streamed on October 1. The series features Joseph playing the titular role of a public school teacher in the San Fernando Valley. Mr. Corman also stars Arturo Castro as Victor, who is Josh's friend and roommate.
This is the second title to be cancelled by Apple TV+ after Little Voice. Meanwhile, Joseph is still in collaboration with the content providing service wherein he is giving the voiceover to the lead character in the animated series titled Wolfboy and the Everything Factory.
Gordon-Levitt not only acted but also was the writer, producer and director of Mr. Corman. The production of Mr. Corman took place during the coronavirus pandemic.
Talking about the shoot, the actor had earlier told Guardian, "It was frustrating to have to stop in the middle, but it’s nothing to be upset about because a lot of people are going through a lot of genuine struggle and I just take this whole thing as a lesson in gratitude."
While talking about the character, Joseph had told Entertainment Weekly, "This character is like if I had some different luck and made some different choices."
The actor further described it by saying that Corman is not getting to do his art for a living and is teaching the fifth grade. Joseph added that his character loves teaching, but also wrestles with the insecurities that come with being an artist.
Comprising of 10 episodes, Mr. Corman also featured Debra Winger, Shannon Woodward, Logic, Juno Temple, Lucy Lawless, Hugo Weaving, Amanda Crew, Emily Tremaine, Jamie Chung and Veronica Falcon in supporting roles.
