Anweshippin Kandethum, the much-awaited police investigation thriller that features popular actor Tovino Thomas in the lead role has finally hit the theatres. The movie, which is helmed by Darwin Kuriakose, hit the big screens on February 9, 2024, Friday, as its leading man Tovino’s first major release of the year. When it completed the first day of its release, Anweshippin Kandethum is off to a decent start at the box office and has crossed the Rs. 1 crore mark with its collection.

According to the latest reports by the popular box office tracking website Sacnilk, the Tovino Thomas starrer has made a total collection of approximately Rs. 1.2 crore from the domestic (all India) box office. Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports also suggest that the police investigation thriller has crossed the Rs. 1.5 crore mark, when it comes to its Day 1 worldwide box office collection. An official confirmation on the same, and a detailed first day box office collection breakdown, are expected to be revealed very soon.

As expected, the Malayalam cinema audiences, who are well known for their fondness for crime thrillers, are now showering love on Anweshippin Kandethum. The Darwin Kuriakose directorial has impressed the cine-goers with its intricate story-telling and performances. If things follow at the same rate, the project is going to have a decent first weekend at the box office, thanks to the rave reviews and word-of-mouth publicity.

All about Anweshippin Kandethum

Tovino Thomas played the role of SI Anand Narayanan, a young police officer in the movie, which features Siddique, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan, Baburaj, Arthana Binu, and others in pivotal roles. Anweshippin Kandethum is scripted by Jinu V Abhraham. The investigation thriller, which is jointly produced by the banners Yoodle Films and Theatre Of Dreams, is expected to have its OTT release in March 2024, after completing its theatrical run.
