Anushka Shetty takes the Size Zero route again; details inside

Anushka Shetty, who is currently filming Mahesh P Babu's film with Naveen Polishetty in Hyderabad, will return to the big screen soon. Since Anushka has been out of the spotlight for quite some time, the film's anticipation has already doubled. And, according to reports, the actor will be seen in a different avatar in this film, tentatively titled Anushka 48.

Hearsay is that she has gained weight for her role in this one. Surprisingly, she appears to be full of confidence and is doing everything she can to get into the skin of her character. "The makers have tightened security on the sets and made certain that no photo of Anushka is leaked online," a source close to the film told a media outlet.

For the uninitiated, Anushka Shetty gained weight naturally and put on 20 kg to play her character in Size Zero. Anushka took a brave step by gaining weight at a time when female actors are conscious of their body image. Size Zero, directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and written by Kanika Dhillon, was shot in both Telugu and Tamil at the same time. The Tamil title for the film was Inji Iduppazhagi.

Meanwhile, Anushka recently completed 17 years in the industry and her co-star Naveen Polishetty penned a heartfelt note on Twitter. Tipped to be a new-age thriller, this yet-to-be-titled project showcases Anushka as a 40-year-old woman, who falls in love with a man half her age.

The film marks Anushka's third collaboration with UV Creations after Mirchi (2013) and Bhaagamathie (2018). “It's an unusual thriller in which every aspect of the plot and characters is unique and well thought out. Anushka appreciated how the director incorporated a love story into the script and believes her chemistry with Naveen will be a highlight of the film,” according to a source. The makers are planning to release this one in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
