The neo-noir thriller film stars Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone, ,
After Kennedy's international premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, Anurag Kashyap's directorial venture that stars Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone is all set to have its next screening at the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Kennedy has also been nominated in the Best Director category.
Rahul, the protagonist of the film, is excited about this. He said, "Kennedy has undoubtedly been the most creatively challenging and stimulating project of my career. I am absolutely thrilled with the overwhelming appreciation that the film has been receiving. My heartfelt congratulations to Anurag for his nomination in the Best Director's category at IFFM. We are so stoked to take the film to Melbourne."
The actor added that the director is the backbone of any film, and in Kennedy, Anurag has poured his heart and soul into every scene, making the screenplay come alive and the dialogues resonate deeply.
Rahul added, "My portrayal of Kennedy wouldn't have been possible without Anurag's insightful vision. At times, the character gave me knots in my stomach because of its diabolical arc, but then that's how you grow as an actor. I am absolutely looking forward to the film's premiere in Melbourne."
The story of Kennedy revolves around an insomniac former police officer. The film is about how things in his personal life keep unfolding.
The film also stars Sunny Leone, Abhilash Thapliyal, and Mohit Takalkar.
Rahul worked with Anurag earlier on Dobaaraa and Ugly.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will be held between August 11 and August 20, 2023
