Anurag Kashyap recently revealed that he went to a child psychologist. The filmmaker also opened up about the bond he shares with his daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap.

Anurag Kashyap has a daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap, with his former wife, Aarti Bajaj. The filmmaker was married to Bajaj for nearly 12 years before they called it quits. Despite their divorce, Anurag shares a good relationship with his daughter, Aaliyah. However, there was a time when the director had to consult a child psychologist to learn how to improve his relationship with Aaliyah.

When Anurag Kashyap visited a child psychologist

At an event in Kolkata, Anurag Kashyap opened up about the equation he shares with his daughter Aaliyah. The filmmaker said that it is difficult as well as easy. Anurag mentioned that he has not spent as much time with his daughter as he should have sincehis complete focus was on films.

"I went to a child psychologist because I wanted to improve my relationship with my daughter. We didn’t fight; we were trying to understand each other better," revealed Anurag. The filmmaker was told that the world had changed. He was even quizzed regarding Gen Z, Gen X, and millennials.

Anurag Kashyap's personal life

After his divorce from Aarti Bajaj, Anurag Kashyap married actress Kalki Koechlin. However, their marriage didn't last long and they got divorced in 2015. As far as the filmmaker's daughter is concerned, Aaliyah got married to her longtime boyfriend, Shane Gregoire, in 2023. They exchanged rings on May 20 in an intimate ceremony.

What's Anurag Kashyap up to these days?

Anurag Kashyap's last directorial venture was Kennedy. The movie, starring Sunny Leone, Abhilash Thapliyal, Rahul Bhat, and Mohit Takalkar, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. The film went on to premiere at different international film festivals as well. Written by Anurag, Kennedy was bankrolled by Ranjan Singh and Kabir Ahuja.

Then, Anurag acted in the Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Haddi, which was released on ZEE5. The filmmaker also made a cameo appearance in Leo.
