Anupamaa: Anuj makes his case, Vanraj has a decision to make

The whole family try to convince Vanraj to calm down and address the situation calmly.

Anuj had left everyone shocked when he too agreed to Pakhi and Adhik’s marriage. Although Anupama requests Vanraj to hear her husband out, Mr Shah bluntly says that Anuj is neither Pakhi’s father, nor Adhik’s. Hasmukh tries to reason with Vanraj that everyone cares for Pakhi and asks him to consider what others are saying.

Anuj talks to Vanraj about how hard it is to forget one’s first love, drawing from his own experiences. He says that it was clear that Adhik and Pakhi would not listen to anyone when it comes to the matter of their marriage, and it would be safer to calmly hear them out and consider their offer before making any rash decisions. Adhik and Pakhi remain adamant in their decision to get married, and declare that they will be together even if their families.

Vanraj is confused and frustrated thinking about what should be done. Anupama suggests asking some time from Pakhi before taking a decision, and celebrate the festival first before taking any decisions. Vanraj agrees to talk to Pakhi.

When Baa still talks about what Pakhi did, everyone else scolds the former and tells Baa to let it go and enjoy the festival season for now. Kavya tells Anuj and Anupama that even though she’s grateful for the fact that the two always come rushing when the Shahs have a problem, the couple also deserve to live their life and asks them to leave and celebrate their first Diwali as a married couple.

Anuj reveals all that Adhik told him, and both he and Anupama are not surprised that Barkha and Ankush had planned it all.

Vanraj tells Pakhi that he won’t say yes or no right now to what she said. He says he loves her and asks her for sometime to take a decision. Pakhi agrees, and she repeats that she and Adhik are in love.

Back at the Kapadia house, Barkha scolds Adhik and Ankush for what they did. When Anuj and Anupama come back, they reveal the decision everyone made, and Adhik agrees not to see Pakhi until the festival is over.
