Rituraj Singh passses away due to cardiac arrest
Rituraj Singh, who was one of the most prominent faces on television, passed away today early this morning (around 12.30am). He was 59 years old. The reason for his death has been reported as cardiac arrest. He had been recently hospitalised for a pancreatic illness.
Amit Behl (Rituraj Singh’s colleague and friend) confirmed the news
As per a news piece on indianexpress website, Amit Behl, who happens to be Rituraj Singh’s colleague and friend confirmed the news. He said that he (Rituraj Singh) had been keeping unwell and had been hospitalised around 15 days back because of some pancreatic issues. He added that he had come back home a few days back, but was feeling very weak yesterday. And, that is why his near ones immediately rushed him to the hospital.
Filmmaker Sandip Sikand shocked and heartbroken
While talking to the same website, actor and filmmaker Sandip Sikand said that he was shocked and heartbroken on hearing the news (about the death of Rituraj Singh). He added that he has been in a state of shock ever since the time he saw the sad news on his WhatsApp groups early in the morning.
He added that he had worked very closely with Rituraj Singh in the show Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii and that he was one of the very actors who had given him a warm welcome on the show. While praising Rituraj Singh, Sandip said that, besides being a brilliant actor, he was also one of the finest human beings he knew. While praying for Rituraj Singh, Sandip also wished strength for the late actor’s wife and kids to deal with this loss.

As for Rituraj Singh, he was an extremely popular face on television in the ninety’s era. He was a part of many shows like Banegi Apni Baat, Jyoti, Hitler Didi, Adaalat, Aahat, Diya Aur Baati Hum and many more. He was also the inimitable and most friendly host of the extremely popular game show Tol Mol Ke Bol’. Rituraj Singh was recently seen in the role of owner of the ‘Spice & Chutney’ restaurant in the extremely popular Rupali Ganguly led show Anupamaa.
Rituraj Singh had appeared in shows such as, Shapath, Warrior High, and More recently, he starred in the hit show Anupamaa.
