Blessing our feeds this morning is actor Anupam Kher who shared a throwback picture of himself which featured popular Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, and Arjun Kapoor in it. Observably, all the actors were having fun in each other’s company. While the three youngsters were seen giving hilarious reactions, Anupam chose to keep it simple with a smile. This throwback photo has been liked by thousands of people at the moment.

What’s the purpose of sharing this throwback picture?

Social media users strongly believe that Anupam Kher along with these actors plans to remake Bollywood’s iconic movie ‘Padosan’. Even Anupam Kher’s caption to the post hints at this development.

Is Padosan remake in the making?

While we do not know whether a Padosan remake is in the making, we do know some facts about the film which can be interesting to read for those born after the 2000s.

Padosan, a 1968 Indian Hindi-language musical comedy film, is directed by Jyoti Swaroop and produced by Mehmood, N. C. Sippy. The screenplay is credited to Rajendra Krishan. This cinematic gem is a remake of the Bengali-language film Pasher Bari (1952), originally based on a short story of the same name by Arun Chowdhury and featuring Bhanu Bandyopadhyay and Sabitri Chatterjee.

The lead roles in the Hindi adaptation are portrayed by Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu, with supporting performances from Kishore Kumar, Mukri, Raj Kishore, and Keshto Mukherjee. The film's musical score is crafted by the legendary R. D. Burman. Notably, several scenes were captured in the scenic Brindavan Gardens, situated near the city of Mysore.
