The Dibakar Banerjee directed film was released in the year 2006
The year 2006 saw the release of a film titled ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’. The film starred two of the veteran actors viz. Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. The film went on to become one of the hit films of that year. The film’s slice-of-life plot and the director’s approach towards the film, doubled with stellar performances, formed the factors which got translated into the film being a hit at the box office. The film to be remade in three regional languages
As per a report in Variety, it has been reported that the film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ will now be made in three regional languages. The news report stated that the three languages in which the film will be made are Telugu, Marathi and Kannada. The report also stated that the said news was revealed at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Contents and Film Market. As for the film’s directors, Adarsh Eshwarappa will be directing the film's Kannada version. As for the film’s Telugu version, it will be directed by Vinod Anantoju. And as far as the Marathi version is concerned, it will be directed by filmmaker Kedar Shinde. The news report stated that as far as the cast and the schedules for the remakes are concerned, it is being finalized by the film’s makers.
Film's producer reveals the reason for the remake
The film’s producer Savita Raj Hiremath told Variety that, since building a home in a lifetime was like a dream come true for most Indians, it was relatable to a pan-Indian audience as property fraud was paramount and was witnessed in large measure. She added that, the remakes of ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla!’ would be apt as there was a need to address the issue, entertain and monetize the creative rendition.

As for the film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla!’, besides Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, the film also starred Parvin Dabas, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Tara Sharma in important roles.
