Joshiy-directed Antony, starring Joju George and Kalyani Priyadarshan, is slated to be be released on December 1
After Porinju Mariyam Jose, the Joshiy-Joju George combo is back, and this time with a mass action entertainer. The trailer of the much-awaited film, Antony, has been released, and it seems to be an all-out classic Joshiy action drama. The movie, which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, revolves around a fierce character Antony Anthrappan (Joju) and his close-knit group, where the narrative is charged by an emotionally driven storyline. The trailer showcases both Joju and Kalyani as brutal characters. The film is set to hit the cinemas on December 1.

The trailer opens to a cop saying that the Avaran city, depicted in the film, is full of notorious criminals and gangsters. But the most dangerous among them is Antony, who has committed several murders, including burning a sub-Inspector alive. He is accompanied by Chemban Vinod Jose, who plays the character of Father Paul. However, one of the murders is said to be witnessed by a certain someone.
Later, the character of Kalyani is revealed, who appears to be a rebellious young college student fascinated by violence more than her academics. She is a professional MMA fighter. The latter half of the trailer showcases a series of action sequences, with the title of the film Antony shown in the end of the video.
The trailer promises a mass entertainer, with an action-packed storyline. However, it also showcases an emotional story alongside. Kalyani as an MMA fighter looks promising, as the film hints at a complete Joshiy package.
Apart from Joju and Kalyani, the trailer also features Nyla Usha, Asha Sharath, Vijayaraghavan and Appani Sarath.

Antony also marks the reunion of the Porinju Mariyam Jose cast - Joju, Chemban and Nyla - who also appeared in the 2019 film directed by Joshiy. Antony is bankrolled by Einstein Media, Nextel Studio and Ultra Media Entertainments. Its technical crew comprises Renadive (as cinematographer) and Syam Sasidharan (as editor). Jakes Bejoy, known for his work in Kaduva and King of Kotha, has scored music for the upcoming film.
