Anshuman Jha, the actor and producer of Lakadbaggha, an animal vigilante action thriller which has been well received by critics and audiences, has expressesed his gratitude to audiences. He has now promises an interesting sequel to the film.
Producer Ektaa R Kapoor threw a party to celebrate the success of Anushman's film. Ektaa launched Anshuman in his debut film Love Sex Aur Dhokha, which was produced by her.
The celebration party was attended by Honey Trehan, Sanjay Suri, Soni Razdan, Dibakar Banerjee, Gurfateh Pirzada, Sharib Hashmi, Elli Avram, Priyanshu Painyuli and Amit Masurkar, along with the cast and crew of the film.
Overwhelmed by the success of the film, Anshuman said, "I am grateful for the love and support for Lakadbaggha, especially from the dog-lover community. This is the beginning of the world's first animal lover vigilante universe, and this is a shot in the arm for us to make a bigger and better part two."
He also thanked Ektaa for launching him and supporting him with his new film. "I am grateful to Ekta for launching me a decade ago in LSD and for her unwavering support to high-concept films like Lakadbaggha, which is a pure love letter to dogs," Anshuman added.
As the film was a small-budget project which managed to bring audience to theatres, Shiladitya Bora from Platoon Distribution, who released the film, said, "For a 111-screen release, Lakadbaggha had an advance booking of 4,000 tickets, and that is a positive sign. It's a success on all counts, given the scarcity of audiences in theatres right now. The fact that it ran into a second week till the release of Pathaan is a success in itself."
Directed by Victor Mukherjee, Lakadbaggha also stars Ridhi Dogra, Milind Soman, Paresh Pahuja, Kharaj Mukherjee and Eksha Kerung, among others.
