Another Suriya 44 update! Makers drop a huge hint about the film

Recently, the makers of Suriya 44 made a slew of announcements about the technical crew of the film and revealed who would be doing what. Now, the latest update is that the shooting will begin in June. Currently, the makers are conducting pre-production works in Port Blair, Andaman.

Suriya 44 is the upcoming Tamil film starring Suriya in the lead role, with Karthik Subbaraj helming the project. The film marks the duo’s first collaboration and is backed by Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. Recently, the makers introduced the technical crew of the film in a series of posters.
Now the latest update is that the film is all set to go on floors sometime in June. The pre-production work is going on at a brisk pace in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. With this, one can expect that the film will have something to do with coastal and port regions. In a video released, workers are shown to be preparing for the set works on the islands.

Santhosh Narayanan, a regular collaborator of Karthik Subbaraj, would be scoring the music for Suriya 44. The other members of the technical crew include Shreyaas Krishna as the cinematographer and Shafique Mohamed Ali as the editor. Jacki will be the art director, Kecha Khamhpakdee will be the action director and Praveen Raja will be the costume designer.
The makers have remained tight-lipped about the film’s cast. However, as per reports, Beast actor Pooja Hegde is said to be roped in to play the female lead in Suriya 44. Further updates are expected to roll out as the film progresses.
Meanwhile, Suriya is currently awaiting the release of Kanguva with Siruthai Siva. The film is touted as a fantasy action drama. He was last seen in Vikram as Rolex, making a cameo appearance.
