Rishab Shetty scored a monumental success with Kantara and a lot of it could be attributed to the proficiency of his core crew. Aside from Rishab's own potent performance and a gripping narrative, the film benefitted hugely from the work of cinematographer Arvind S. Kashyap, editors Prateek Shetty and K.M Prakash, and, of course, music composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath.

For Ajaneesh, the whole Kantara experience might have turned out to be a bittersweet one because of the Varaha Roopam plagiarism issue, but his contribution to the ethos of the film cannot be undermined at any cost. Be it through the eclectic collection of songs that includes chartbusters like Singara Siriye or the excellent background score that accentuated & elevated the narrative to a whole new level, Ajaneesh delivered a soundtrack that one will savour for a very long time.

And to enunciate the success of the music of Kantara, the single 'Singara Siriye' has crossed a whopping 100 million views on YouTube. By virtue of this, the song joins the elite list which also includes 'Karabuu' from Pogaru 'Bombe Heluthaithe' from Raajakumaara, and Rishab Shetty's own 'Belageddu' from Kirik Party (also composed by Ajaneesh B. Loknath).

In his previous interviews, Ajaneesh revealed that he went to extreme lengths to capture the nativity of Kantara in his music, and used a number of lesser-known instruments and folk tunes to render the unique soundscape. Speaking to Deccan Herald about the music, Ajaneesh shared that instruments like damaru, gaggara, dolu, tase, Australian tribe instrument didgeridoo, the kazoo, etc. were among the many that were employed to create the music.

Singara Siriye, sung by Vijay Prakash and Ananya Bhat and written by Pramod Maravanthe, also features noted Yakshagana artiste Nagraj Panar Valtur whose voice can be heard in the opening stanza of the song. As the love track of the film, the visuals (and the lyrics) underline the blossoming romance between Shiva and Leela, the characters played by Rishab and Sapthami Gowda respectively.
