Anoop Chandran slams Fahadh Faasil

In a Facebook post, the actor criticised the Aavesham star, starting with his claim that young actors should get more involved in AMMA's events. He also voiced his disapproval of Fahadh's behaviour, saying that the actor has an obligation to uphold given his crores in earnings as an actor.

Anoop further stated that Amma has a purpose: "What will Fahad Faasil lose if he comes to the meeting of such an organisation? Youngsters are generally selfish and one name I can point out is that of Fahad Faasil." Anoop wrote that both Fahadh and his wife were in Ernakulam when the AMMA meeting was held. However, they attended Meera Nandan's wedding reception and chose to ignore the meeting.

Disputes following the recent elections in AMMA

AMMA office bearers have been caught up in a few disagreements regarding recent elections. In a letter to all members, actor Ramesh Pisharody publicly criticised the appointment of three female members to the Executive Committee, labelling it as "undemocratic."

In another incident, Edavela Babu, the former general secretary of AMMA, claimed that when he was attacked on social media, no one in the organisation stood up for him. After 25 years in the AMMA, Babu announced his resignation, claiming he was the target of criticism for being called a "paid secretary."

Elected during the organization's Annual General Meeting at Kochi's Gokulam Convention Centre, Siddique has replaced Babu as General Secretary. Without any opponents, Mohanlal was appointed as the AMMA president. Jagadish and Jayan Cherthala are the Vice Presidents. Unni Mukundan was elected without opposition to the position of organisation’s treasurer.
