Annoyed fans of Vijay trend 'Beast Update' on Twitter due to delay in announcement on film's release

The first single from Beast, Arabic Kuthu, which was unveiled a month ago, went on to become a smashing hit and garnered over 175M views in a record time. For the last few months, there have been unconfirmed reports that the Vijay-starrer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar will hit the screens on either April 13 or 14.

As Yash-starrer pan Indian film KGF 2 is arriving on April 14 in multiple languages, it is said that Beast, produced by Sun Pictures, is likely to release on April 13. However, there hasn't been any official update on it yet.

The production house's latest project, the Suriya-starrer Etharkkum Thunindhavan, released last Friday, and they are coming up with regular posts and promo videos on Twitter to promote the movie. The lack of updates on Beast seems to have irked fans of Vijay and they have started taking to Twitter to trend the hashtag #BeastUpdate.

Ajith fans did a similar thing last year when they were disappointed with the lack of updates from Valimai. Though a few sources say that an update on Beast is expected soon, fans aren't able to control their emotions.

There are rumours doing the rounds that the much-expected audio launch of the movie is unlikely to happen. An official confirmation on the same is also awaited. A couple of leaked stills from the project is another reason which has made the fans upset. Meanwhile, the second single from the movie is expected to be out in a few days, and fans are eagerly looking forward to it.      

Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in Beast which has Selvaraghavan, Aparna Das, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley among others essay important roles in the project which has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
