Announcement! Kareena Kapoor Khan to star in a Netflix thriller film with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma

The film is a screen adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino, and is to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

For Netflix's untitled project, the versatile finest of Hindi cinema — Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma, and Bollywood's Bebo, the iconic Kareena Kapoor Khan-have come together. This murder mystery will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the mastermind behind thrillers like Kahaani and Badla. Netflix launched the film with an intriguing video of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma participating in a screenplay reading session led by the director.

Ghosh revealed, while talking about his film, that Devotion is arguably the best love story he has ever read. He said it's such an honour to be able to convert it into a film. In addition, he will have the opportunity to work alongside Kareena, Jaideep, and Vijay. The filmmaker exclaimed, "What more could a person ask for?"

Meanwhile, Kareena shared that she couldn't wait to start work on this fantastic project. The actor said that the project contains all of the necessary components. She is incredibly excited to work with Sujoy, Jaideep, and Vijay because they have a wonderful story, a visionary director, and a super skilled cast and crew.
