Rajendra Prasad is undoubtedly one of the most versatile actors that Telugu cinema has ever produced. The actor turns another year older today and continues his quest to evolve and better himself as a performer from film to film. While the teaser of his next film as a lead, Anukoni Prayanam, was released earlier today, the fans of the veteran had another surprise with the launch of his first look from director Nandini Reddy's much-awaited family entertainer Anni Manchi Sakunamule.

In the first look of Anni Manchi Sakunamle, Rajendra Prasad is seen playing an elderly man, busily sitting in a room and repairing an old electronic item (most likely a transistor). The actor is not new to family dramas at all and Nandini Reddy is a director who understands this space. With a writer like Lakshmi Bhupala at the helm, it's likely that the film will offer him another memorable role.

Anni Manchi Sakunamule is a feel-good, emotional film headlined by Santosh Shobhan and Malvika Nair that went on floors last year. The film is backed by Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under Swapna Cinema in collaboration with Mitravinda Films. Mickey J Meyer scores the music for the same while Richard Prasad and Sunny Kurapati, who was part of movies like Middle Class Melodies, Dorasani and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, are the cinematographers. Sony Music has acquired the music rights.

Swapna Cinema's also producing the war-romance Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, which hits theatres on August 5.
