Chaitanya Rao, who shot to fame with his appearance in the web series 30 Weds 21, is gradually making his presence felt in feature films as well. He’ll be seen in a pivotal role in Tharun Bhascker’s Keedaa Cola and also plays the lead role in the thriller comedy Annapurna Photo Studio. The latter is gearing up for a theatrical release on July 21. ETV Win has acquired its post-theatrical streaming rights.
Lavannya Sahukara plays the female lead in Annapurna Photo Studio that also stars Yash Rangineni, Vasu Inturi, Uttara Reddy, Mihirah, Viva Raghav, Lalith Aditya, Krishna Mohan, Ramana and Shiva. The film is bankrolled by Big Ben Cinemas, the producers of films like Pelli Choopulu, Dear Comrade, and Dorasani. O Pitta Katha fame Chendu Muddu is the director.
The teaser of the film was launched today. Annapurna Photo Studio takes us through the life of a small-time photographer in a village - who pays an ode to ANR and his better half (Annapurna) through his business. The shy youngster falls in love with a girl in the town and just when their romance appears to progress smoothly, there’s trouble in the paradise.
After a setback, the protagonist and a group of men plan to murder a woman. There are cops, suspects, newer characters and one can sense some tension in the story. The glimpse ends with a scene where the photographer is trying hard to woo a woman and tries to prove to his friends that she is in love with him. What’s Annapurna Photo Studio all about? Pankaj Tottada is the cinematographer of the film while D Venkata Prabhu is the editor. Prince Henry scores the music. Multiple songs from Annapurna Photo Studio are a hit with music buffs already. Leading music label T Series has acquired the audio rights.
