Annana Thaalaattum from Dhanush’s action-thriller Maaran is a soft, soothing track

Also starring Malavika Mohanan and Smruthi Venkat, the movie is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar

The makers of Karthick Naren’s upcoming action thriller Maaran starring Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan in the lead have released the second track from the movie. Titled Annana Thaalaattum the makers released the lyrical video of the song today.

Annana Thaalaattum in a soft and soothing number about a brother-sister relationship. The song has all it takes to walk straight into the hearts of the listeners. Anurag Kulkarni’s voice lends a certain power to the song, which helps it connect seamlessly with the listener.

The song is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, who is also the music director for the project. With lyrics from Vivek, the song has a strong, yet lovable start, giving the song its heart.

Though only a lyrical video, the video of the song offers a few glimpses into the movie for the fans. It offers a look into a young boy waiting for the birth of his sibling, only to take care and love her after her birth. There is also a video of the two kids playing together making paper boats in a puddle of water

The makers of Maaran released a song from the movie titled Polladha Ulagam a month ago, and the second single is also expected to do well.

Maaran is directed by Karthick Naren, and will be his first feature film after having directed the segment titled Project Agni in the Netflix anthology Navarasa.

Apart from Dhanush in the lead, the movie also stars Malavika Mohanan Smruthi Venkat, Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, Ameer and Mahendran among others.

The movie is produced by TG Thyagarajan, Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films.

Maaran will be Dhanush’s third movie that is releasing directly to OTT after Jagame Thandhiram on Netflix and Atrangi Re streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
