Anna Ben and Sunny Wayne’s Sara’s to release on Amazon Prime Video on this date

The movie is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and was shot after the lockdown restrictions were lifted last year,

Om Shanti Oshaana and Oru Muthassi Gadha director Jude Anthany Joseph’s Sara’s will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The film, which has Anna Ben and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles, is set to be a July release.

The movie will release on July 5, a week after Prithviraj’s Cold Case drops on the OTT platform. Sara’s, which was shot after the lockdown, in several locations in Wagamon and Kochi including Kochi Metro, Lulu Mall and Panampilly Nagar, is touted to be an entertainer.

The film has Anna Ben, of Helen and Kumbalangi Nights fame, playing an associate director, who is struggling to do her first film. “The title Sara’s refers to her decisions and story. My previous films told the core message in an entertaining way. But in this film, more than entertainment, I have tried to tell a serious and relevant content that I think must be told,” the director had said in an earlier interview with Kochi Times.

Apart from Anna and Sunny Wayne, the film also has Anna Ben’s father Benny P Nayarambalam, Aju Varghese, Jibu Jacob, Siddique, Mallika Sukumaran, Prashanth Nair IAS and Srinda in pivotal roles. The film’s first song Mele Vinpadavakal was released on YouTube on Wednesday. Shaan Rahman is the composer.

Sunny, meanwhile, is also awaiting the OTT release of Chathurmukham and Anugraheethan Antony. The films are set to release on ZEE5 and Amazon Prime Video, respectively.
