Anjaamai trailer: The film stars Vidaarth, Vani Bhojan, Rahman and others. Touted as a social drama, the trailer is about the importance of education
A few days ago, we reported that actors Vani Bhojan and Vidaarth would be headlining a film titled Anjaamai. On Tuesday, the makers released the trailer for the film on social media. The film is backed by production banner Dream Warrior Pictures, which has bankrolled films like Kaithi and Farhana.
The trailer for Anjaamai, the upcoming Tamil film starring Vani Bhojan and Vidaarth, is here. The trailer starts with a stage play and the protagonist, played by Vidaarth, saying that once the elections are over, those in power discard the needs of the public and becomes stooges to corporate companies. Soon, we are told about the plight that parents go through to give their children education. The trailer explores how the education system has become a commodity, as we are shown headlines of NEET exams posing hindrance for students. A court battle is also shown and are also asked how Tamil Nadu opposes NEET exam.
The upcoming film, touted as a social drama, is written and directed by SP Subburaman and backed by Dr M Thirunavukarasu MD. Apart from Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan, the film also stars actors Rahman, Krithik Mohan, and Rekha Sivan in prominent roles.
The technical crew of the upcoming film consists of Raghav Prasad scoring the music, with Arivumathi, Karthik Netha, Arun Bharathi and the director penning the lyrics. The background score is worked on by Kala Charan and Karthick has shot Anjaamai. Ramsudharshan and GC Anandhan are the editor and art director, respectively.

The film has been certified U by the censor board. Anjaamai is scheduled to release in June. However, a release date for the film has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Vidaarth was last seen in the horror thriller Devil, alongside Poorna and Thrigun, which was released earlier this year. On the other hand, Vani Bhojan, who has appeared in films like Oh My Kadavule and Malaysia to Amnesia, was last seen in Love, which was released in 2023.
