Anirudh Ravichander to be brought on board as the composer for Suriya's film with Siva

The project is likely to go on floors later this year

A while ago, there were reports that Suriya and Siva will team up for a project. However, there haven't been any updates on the film for sometime now. The director's previous outing, Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe (streaming on Netflix), had opened to mixed reviews. Post then, there was speculation that the untitled film might be shelved.

However, a little birdie says that the plan is on and that Suriya might join the shooting after he wraps up the projects with Vetri Maaran and Bala. A test shooting was done a few days ago for Vetri's Vaadi Vaasal, and hence, it is expected that the film based on jallikattu will go on floors first.

Bala's movie which will be produced by the actor's production house is likely to commence after Vaadi Vaasal is wrapped. It is heard that Krithi Shetty will play the female lead in the movie. Since there is enough time, it has to be seen if Siva will commit to another movie before this project goes on floors.

The latest is that Anirudh has been roped in to compose music for the film. The young music director had earlier scored songs for Suriya's Thaana Serndha Koottam (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). He has teamed up with Siva twice; for Ajith-starrers Vedalam and Vivegam (both streaming on MX Player).

Gnanavel's Studio Green is producing the movie which is expected to release in Tamil and Telugu. An official announcement on the film's commencement is likely to happen soon.

According to the grapevine, the movie will have Suriya playing dual roles. Massu Engira Masilamani (streaming on Zee5, MX Player and Jio Cinema) was the last film of Suriya in which he was seen essaying dual roles.
